Kotaku listed them as 31 places that should be in video games or something like that. They do look amazing. There is something attractive about abandoned architecture.
Those HDR photographs are what make them more interesting then they really are What's crazy, not scarry about Pripyat is that you can get guided tours! And they'll bring you to within a stone throw of the power plant. Madness!
Still, should tell Marcel @ CGTextures to get to work. They are nice places and would be cool for some people to remodel them.
I think the Pripyat photos look the most like an "after the nuclear holocaust" setting. Yeah, Russia is pretty good at using good old capitalism once in a while. I think that's a tour I wouldn't want to dawdle too long. I don't even like getting xrays at the dentist.
