Hey, I'm studying a 3D design for gaming module at uni, and for an assignment I have to create a 3D building, a replica of a real building, and a 3D dancing character, a replica of me. I'm going to be using Autodesk 3ds max to do this but i'm not too confident in doing so.. any tips or guidance would be great!

3ds max is a standard tool for this kind of work. You really can't go wrong there.

@Geon yeah i'm okay with creating with buildings, but its the animation and texturing and mapping that i'm not too confident with..which kin d of sucks as we get graded mostly on the level of detail we put in to it....

If this is for a school project, you should talk to your teacher about your concerns. Their job is to teach you, so if you're not learning how to do the things they're assigning you then you need to work with them to fix that.
