You can contact me on skype: Daniel.Cottingham50 and if you have the time, please like our facebook page : https://www.facebook.com/endorphicstudios

Unity is an awesome and powerful, however it is really easy to get cought up in all its features if you are not clear about your goal (or game design in this case).
A while ago I was experimenting with unity and made a simple 3D tilt packman. It was fun. You may want to give it a try (just redesign all the rules!).

Maybe it was better to create something with the free version first instead to spend so much time at Mcdonald's with the risk to spend more time on something it's not properly easy to use.

Not much that can be done about that now - he'd better learn to enjoy Unity.
@dazin09 - I, too, think it would be best to try something simple and small, like Mohsen advised. Just take something simple and change it slightly. For example, make a Tetris-like game, but instead of controlling the falling blocks, control a character that can jump around the play field and grab the blocks (I'm a fan of Wario's Woods). That is an interesting, somewhat game-changing mechanic that shouldn't take more than a few extra days to program in.
