TECH CORNER! that sounds great, so we talk about actually making games, instead of just being another gamer site, its seeming... right? is that the indicator of the problem?? you see adverts for games elsewhere not on whats supposedly a creative site.
i didnt know it was called "vulkan" XD. i remember another cool code name was "windows long horn" remember that. haha.
Im just about up to it, im not holding any hopes of it being any better than 11, unless the shader compilers better for direct compute, i still havent bothered to pick it up yet, but im on windows 10, so its only a matter of time till im pushed into it by the operating system. i just wish it never came out, really.
I recently improved my game tho, gpu wise, when i actually got better debugging working but the stupid nvidia debugger. (which lets you put break points in your shaders, which is well overdue.) doesnt even work on my card (gtx980) which is a flagship card with 64x32 stream processor array and it doesnt even support it!
It probably doesnt even debug compute shaders. i dont understand whats going on, shouldnt have that been imperitive to bring out with the card?
ive actually, through ram constraints, forced my production back onto cpu would you believe!!! i know you might have remembered i was the gpgpu man, but without at least 12gig (and they arent even out yet.) id prefer to make this current thing im making on cpu with a full 32gig.
I remember ages ago, you were telling me about this really cool cpu interface card which plugs in 60 or so cpus onto your consumer board, which sounds interesting, but unless it has good ram interface speed i cant be interested in it, because im only interested in system from the better quick to access ram capacity.
And solid state drives arent up to cop the mustard yet.
