Hello, I hope you are doing fine.
Yes, I had "that idea" about make a game and this is a very, very old idea, so I am well seasoned and I am not here to bother you with really stupid questions.
First point: I'm a lawyer, not a programmer. Neither intend to learn C,. NET, PHP, SQL ... nor want to get it beyond the basics. Yes, I understand the impossibility involving gamedev and that, but I dont wanna make the skeleton of "my idea". It is not in my plans. I intend to do just a demo showing the possibilities of a game like what I imagine.
After that, starts the race for sponsorship and maybe a pocket for Wii. All Explained and considering my limited availability of time and money, the good and old drag-and-drop should suffice. Sorry for so much introductory blablabla.
I need an drag-and-drop engine:
With the possibility of dynamic loading of a given radius.
That I can jump and climb towers or descend into caves with the main character.
That i can walk or run, and change position, prone... kneeling... like fallout tactics.
That is able to understand a mouse click or get cursor positioning.
That have a fixed camera (diagonal as in Diablo) locked in the character able to zoom in and zoom out.
That can track in efficient way the character movement and reproduce it softly to a 3rd viewer(another cliente), square by square is not an option.
That I will be able to edit object's animation.
That has some kind of mapmaking, or that I can import all kinds of stuff for creating the map.
That I can fully edit the attributes and resources of the game, not being tied to some kind of irremovable template.
Finally, it would be great if this powerful tool(engine) could still access the Web and run some apps. Please understand that free ones would be amazing, but are not the only tip iam looking for, cause i could spare some money on it.
Thanks for your time and please don't be rude, it was really difficult to me to overpass the language abyss.
