whats interesting about this is google seems to be the group driving it. not car makers, the theory is. this will lead to less cars being sold in the long run. as many will only need to rent cars instead of buying them

It makes sense that Google would do it in a way. They know a lot more about that kind of thing. I wonder how many of us are willing to relinquish control in that way. I think at first people will probably use it like an autopilot once in a while and slowly use it more and more. The trouble with all these things is it keeps adding cost to our transportation. Cars are getting pretty expensive if you ask me. The greatest benefit will be with people who are too old to drive or can't for other reasons, and emergency accident avoidance.

its a pretty fancy car... its like a washer dryer, does the whole job itself.
